The MDR-certified dev-os system is a well-designed, comprehensive solution for augmentative surgery. The kit covers a wide range of surgical procedures – such as the tenting and shell techniques.
The concept behind it: a modular system that adapts individually to surgical preferences and indications and can be configured according to one’s own requirements. Thanks to a structured system logic, the modular dev-os Toolbox (4400-10) enables an efficient workflow during treatment. The box allows for safe and hygienic storage of all components. Various inlays can be fitted with the respective screws and pins and placed in the toolbox.
The Cube (4400-15) offers a flexible alternative or extension for storing screws and pins – ideal for quick access during treatment.
The devemed dev-os stainless steel micro-screws are specifically designed for shell technology. They enable the fixation of bone shells, which serve as a stable framework for the augmentation material.
Compared to titanium screws, these stainless steel screws exhibit significantly lower osseointegration, which makes them easier to remove later and significantly reduces the risk of damage to the screw head.
The proven devemed QUADRO screw head offers a significantly more stable instrument fit compared to classic cross-recessed drives, prevents the screw from spinning through and allows for a small head diameter.
Stainless steel micro-screws are available with screw heads of Ø 1.0 mm and Ø 1.2 mm in six different lengths: 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 14 mm.
The dev-os stainless steel tenting screws are used for bone augmentation procedures. The tenting technique is a method of bone augmentation in which small screws (tenting screws) are inserted into the bone. These act like ‘tent poles’ and hold the overlying membrane or soft tissue at a distance. This creates a defined cavity which is filled with bone substitute material.
The technique is based on a central principle of bone healing:
Bone can only grow if a stable, immobile space is present
The blood clot must remain stable so that vessels can grow into it
Soft tissue must not collapse or displace the defect
This principle is described in the literature as crucial for successful augmentation.
The devemed dev-os Tenting Screws are used for the tenting technique. They are available with two head diameters (Ø 4.0 mm and Ø 6.0 mm) and three lengths each (8 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm).
dev-os titanium micro-screws are used in various techniques within augmentative surgery. Titanium offers high biocompatibility and is therefore particularly suitable for surgical procedures.
dev-os titanium micro-screws feature the proven QUADRO screw head – this prevents the screw from spinning and makes it easier to grasp.
The titanium screws are available with three head diameters – Ø 1.0 mm, Ø 1.3 mm, Ø 1.5 mm and Ø 1.8 mm. The lengths vary between 5 mm, 7 mm, 9 mm, 11 mm, 13 mm and 15 mm.
dev-os titanium pins are used to secure membranes and titanium meshes during bone augmentation. In doing so, they create the conditions necessary for reliable bone regeneration.
The dev-os pins are available with and without threads – pins with a hex head can be removed more easily with the pin driver after healing due to the thread. They are available in two different lengths – 3 mm and 5 mm. In addition, devemed offers the new dev-os Titanium-Solid pins: these have a more stable shaft than the standard pins and a sharp tip.
