Dr. Horia Barbu is Lecturer at Titu Maiorescu University, Faculty of Dental Medicine at Oral Surgery Department and Oral Implantology Department, Bucharest, Romania.

He has completed graduate training in Oral Surgery at Carol Davila University, Bucharest, Romania in 2006. His PhD research was focused on Endocrinology, Implant Surgery, Osteoporosis and BRONJ.

His collaborative research efforts over the last years have resulted in numerous publications covering a wide range in the field of Implantology and Endocrinology on sinus augmentations, guided bone regeneration, inferior alveolar nerve repositioning, Osteoporosis, immediate loading of  dental implants.
Dr. Horia Barbu has been invited to present his research findings as well as the outcomes of his clinical cases in numerous national and international congresses and conferences (Romania, India, Italy, Israel, Austria, USA)

Dr. Barbu is involved in several multicenter studies with New York University, Israel, Sweden on guided bone regeneration and sinus augmentation. Dr. Barbu has a private practice within Victor Babes Hospital maintaining a limited practice in oral surgery and implant surgery in Bucharest, Romania.
