Assoc.Prof.Dr.Alex BURCEA, PhD, MSc is a Specialist in Oral Surgery, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Profesor and the Head of Postgraduated Master’s Degree Program in Oral Implantology at the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Titu Maiorescu University of Bucharest, Romania, Department of Implantology and Oral Surgery.

As a full-time teacher, he teaches courses specializing in implantology and oral surgery, both to students, master’s students, residents, and medical specialists, together with internationally renowned personalities in the field of implantology and oral surgery.

Since 2004, he has participated in numerous courses and practical internships in implantology and oral surgery in renowned universities and clinics in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Israel.

He has published 4 specialized books(oral implantology, guided bone regeneration) in Romania and over 50 specialized articles of which 10 are in ISI indexed journals on topics related to: maxillary sinus floor elevation through a new minimally invasive method, reconstructive surgical techniques through piezosurgery and osteoinductive materials, harvesting and use of bone blocks, piezosurgical split-crest, guided bone regeneration, inferior alveolar nerve repositioning and nasal fossa lifting.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Alex BURCEA is one of the first users in Romania of the revolutionary technique regarding the use of growth factors (PRF, A PRF, I PRF) in guided bone regeneration, first guided surgery in implantology, minimally-invasive technique of raising the floor of the maxillary sinus through an implant (I -Raise and DIVA), as well as Zimmer trabecular implants.

He is also involved in multiple studies and researches related to oral surgery, implantology and guided bone regeneration.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Alex BURCEA is an international speaker and also trainer for Mectron piezosurgery and top implants systems like Zimmer, Ires and Paltop-Keystone.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Alex BURCEA is the Secretary of the Romanian Association of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery.He has a private practice within Helpdent Clinic maintaining a limited practice in oral and implant surgery in Bucharest, Romania.
