Dr. Paul Jang received his dental degree from Boston University with Cum Laude. He then completed residency in Periodontics and Implant surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he received numerous awards for excellence in clinical work and research. Following graduation, he continued to obtain Fellowship with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He was the President of the British Columbia society of periodontists (2013-2014).

He maintains a private practice limited to periodontics and implant rehabilitation in Vancouver, B.C. Canada with a strong emphasis on periodontal plastic surgery, dental implant and bone grafting procedures.

He is a reviewer for the Journal of Periodontology and serves as the Clinical Assistant professor at the University of British Columbia in the Dept. of Graduate Periodontics where is he involved in surgical training of residents. He is the founder (since 2006) and director of the Northwest Dental Study Club with over 100 member dentists. He trains local and international dentists in his state-of-the art teaching facility with hands-on periodontal and implant surgical procedures including basic/advanced bone regeneration and soft tissue grafting techniques.
